Remember when Benny was itty, bitty, and tiny?

Benny had a doctor's appointment yesterday. He weighed 20 pounds (90th percentile) and was 27.25 inches long (85th percentile). The doctor said we could start having him eat lots more cereal and veggies, and fruit! The doctor said "you have a very healthy, huge baby." Excellent.

I love my Daddy very much
I tell you the truth, and it is as such....
He's very nice to mommy and me
He always takes good care of us, you see
He works really hard all day at the mill
That's so mommy and I never worry about the bills
He works hard to go to school too
He has so very, very much to do
But he always makes time to come home and play
He comes home and kisses mommy at the end of each day
He's got a big heart full of lots of love
Its a reflection of the goodness of God above
Hopefully I'll grow up to be a lot like my dad
Sweet, kind, loving, and glad
Kevin had his first Father's day last Sunday. Regrettably he had to work. (Boo!) But, we celebrated on Friday night with fajitas and peanut butter cake! Daddy's pick for dinner.
What can I say? Benny lucked out. He's got a terrific Daddy. Good husbands make good daddies.

Papa owns a a 1931 Model A. Kevin harrasses me all the time about this car or that car. Which one he needs to buy first, which he should build, what color, what size of engine, manual transmissions, the tools he will HAVE to buy, etc, etc, etc. I have surrendered to a life of listening to him babble about cars. But, Papa's Model A is one car I like. Its cute, unique, and fun. I mean---it has a rumble seat! I have been looking forward to taking Benny for a ride in the rumble seat. Finally got to do it the other day.
Our sweet chauffeur.
Papa, Nana, and us.
Off we go!
I love farm animals; therefore, I love taking pictures of Benny with farm animals. The other day, I tagged along with Grammie and Grampie to Uncle Chris and Aunt Angie's house and also visited my parents and Ella and Luke. Lucky for us, my parents had just gotten baby chicks about a week before.
Love fluffy little chicks.
This could possibly be the best picture ever. Regrettably my head got chopped off. FYI...Benny is wearing my favorite shirt. It has little chicks printed all over it, and it says "Chicks are all over me." Love it.
Benny wasn't quite sure what to think of the little chicks running all over his legs.
Ella was delighted to be the photographer for this event.
She did surrender the camera once to Luke to be in a pic.
Also, it was the first trip to Faith and Callie's house that day! Always fun to hang out with the cousins.

The first documented 'rolling over' actually occurred on May 7. However, it seems somewhat accidental. Benny has rolled over on occassion since then, but hasn't really done it a whole lot. He really didn't seem inspired by his new found skill. But, last night he decided he would roll over and over and over again. We got a video.

Apparently, this innocent little fellow can be quite a handful. Occassionally, I have meetings at church, weddings, etc. where I can't take Benny along with me. So, I'll take him over to Grammie and Grampie's house to stay with them for a few hours. Well, frequently I come back, and he has 4 babysitters! That's right...4. Grammie, Grampie, Nana, and Papa. It takes them all to keep track of this little guy. True story.
Here are a few more pics from Benny's time at Grammie's house.
Gotta have Grampie push me on the swing.
Nana has to play with Elmo and me.
Papa has to hold me.
Gotta look daper in the diaper!
Grammie has to have a photo shoot session with me looking so handsome!
