Nana and Papa are Back!

Nana and Papa came back from their winter in Florida last Wednesday.  Benny was delighted to get reaquainted with them.  Benny is quite the social butterfly these days.  He is thrilled to have lots of attention and someone to 'talk' to and smile.  On Tuesday night they came over and took Benny and I on a multicultural field trip, aka we got dinner at a Mexican restaurant.  Daddy has been working really long hours this week (like 15 hours a day) so we were grateful for the company.  So, these days Benny can be found with just a little bit of pink lipstick on those chubby cheeks and a hint of Estee Lauder Beautiful perfume.  Too perfect.

Post-Easter Week

Not too much new this week.  Just recooperating from Holy Week and Easter festivities.  Kevin took the GMAT test yesterday.  So glad that is over.  But, Benny did learn to do a few new things this week.

1.  He is getting much better at grabbing toys you hold out in front of him.  He has this little cute worm-rattle.  He likes he can grasp it really well.

2.  He LOVES his little gym mat from E.B. Bunny.  So much to look at.  So much to do.

3. This week I spun him around in a circle----aka 'airplane.'  He looked at me like he wasn't sure if he was delighted or terrified.  He thought about it for a second and gave me a big smile and laughed.  So, we did it over and over again.  Better than a Cedar Point ride!  What an adrenaline rush!

This year we had a joyous Easter celebration with Benny.  It was a very busy Holy Week for Benny and I, but the services turned out quite lovely.

One of the best things about Easter this year was that Granny Lindy and Grandpa Stevie came to after Easter dinner with us in the afternoon.

Not the best picture, but we used out wedding china for the first time in 7.5 years.  About time!  It looked very nice.

Bunny Business

Last weekend, Kevin, Benny, and I did some fun Easter activities for Benny's 1st Easter!

Friday night we baked cookies.  We also watched the movie "The Hop."

Saturday morning we colored eggs.  Our buddy Adam came to color eggs too.  His arm is pictured here.

Additionally, the Easter Bunny made an early appearance at our house this week!  That's right.  THE EASTER BUNNY CAME TO OUR HOUSE!  E.B. himself even left a note saying he wanted Benny to have his present a little early.  The bunny also brought Kevin a gift.  That bunny.  He sure is a nice guy.

3 Months Old!

Benny turns 3 months old tomorrow.  He had a doctor's appointment last Monday.  Turns out we have a future OSU football player on our hands!  15 pounds 9 ounces!  Apparently he is in the 90th percentile for height and weight.  Go Benny!
